Hamachi was a good P2P VPN for its time, but its lack of device and os support is now much more limited. ZeroTier may seem be a little bit more complex than Hamachi, but has WAY MORE Features! I love the true distributed firewall / acl support. Installation was quite easy across devices, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Windows and Android.

Why use this program over programs like hamachi / tunngle? these VPN services rely on a central server to be the "man in the middle" thus the quality of your gameplay is determined by the congestion of their servers. This program is a direct translator for the network data and relies on no centralized server for network traffic routing.
